Climate Change Book Group: How Beautiful We Were

FreeThe Medford Public Library’s Climate Change Book Group, “Planet and Pages,” meets to discuss “How Beautiful We Were” Imbolo Mbue, the New York Times bestselling author of “Behold the Dreamers. In this novel, a fearless young woman from a small African village starts a revolution against an American oil company. Stop by the library to snag your copy.
Led by green entrepreneur Clare Flaherty, owner of Trove Green Provisions in Medford Hillside, the group reads both non-fiction and fiction books about climate change and explores topics such as global warming, plastic pollution, environmental inequity, and proposed solutions to combat their effects. Next month’s title, to be discussed on May 22, will be “Braiding Sweetgrass” by Robin Wall Kimmerer.
