Gallery Talk and Closing Party: JJ Gonson Photographer
An exhibit of photos by JJ Gonson, a prolific photographer of musicians and bands from the 1980s and '90s, is hanging at the EventThem Studios Gallery through December. Stop by this evening to hear the artist talk about her experience shooting bands and her history with touring and photography. Today is the final day to view the Medford Public Library art exhibition for November-December, "Shapes From Nature: Paintings Sensing Nature," featuring the work of Medford resident Estrid Eklof. Eklof's paintings are based on a many layered water color foundation, often with graphite and Conté stick marks added. Exhibition Opening: George Huiyi Wang Chinese Painting
The Medford Public Library opens a two-month exhibition of Chinese painting by George Huiyi Wang, a Medford resident and member of the Medford Senior Center. On display will be Wang's Chinese brush paintings showcasing Eastern art and culture. Wang immigrated from China to the U.S. in 1987 and is a member of the Chinese American Fine Arts Society. The exhibition will be on view in the library's second-floor gallery during regular library hours through Thursday, February 29.
