Unbox Book Club for Teens
The Medford Public Library holds another session of the Unbox Book Club, its drop-in club for teens in grades 8 and up. Talk about all things books while unboxing the newest books in the Teen Section. You’ll get first dibs on a book before it goes on the shelves. Sign-up through the library's online calendar is encouraged but not required.

Night Club brings its Masochist Tour to Deep Cuts. Night Club is Emily Kavanaugh and Mark Brooks, a dark electronic duo formed in Los Angeles in 2012. Touching upon themes such as mental illness, loneliness and revenge, their self-released albums have helped them build a cult-like following. Also performing will be Rosegarden Funeral Party and Delores Galore. Tickets are $23 in advance, $25 day of show through Dice.

The Medford Senior Center presents its weekly Arm Chair Travel Experience. Tufts University occupational therapy students lead the program through virtual reality (VR), an immersive experience that allows you to watch a video while simultaneously feeling as if you are in that environment. Participants will be given a seat in the Senior Center library, a VR headset, and 360-degree recorded VR videos to sightsee without having to leave the building. The Medford Senior Center's weekly crafts group, led by students from Tufts University, provides a creative outlet, a place to learn new skills, and a chance to connect with fellow community members. Try your hand at engaging craft projects for all skill levels . . . no experience required. Cost is $3 per person. Seats are limited; reserve yours by calling the Senior Center at 781-396-6010.

The Medford Public Library presents family story time for ages 3 to 7. The session will explore new concepts with books and songs. Parents and caregivers are welcome to join in. After story time, a short craft or activity will be held in the same space.

The Medford Public Library hosts the monthly meeting of its Writers’ Workshop. The group, which usually meets on the last Wednesday of the month, is always looking for new members so join the group to meet fellow writers and get feedback on your work. Dance away your cares at the Medford Public Library as Dance Caliente presents a fun and lively lesson on the waltz. Dancers of all levels and ages are invited to attend. Founded in 1998 by Eileen Herman-Haase and Raul Nieves, Dance Caliente brings a contagious enthusiasm to their instruction. Register through the library's online calendar. Join Toddler Time at the Medford Public Library and read some excellent books, sing songs, and learn gentle movement activities. Story time is 30 minutes long and geared toward children ages 2-3. After stories and songs, all are invited to join a mini-play group too.
