Author Talk: Dorothy Emerson – Sea Change

Monday, October 29, 2018 @ 7:00 pm

Free

Dorothy Emerson, former minister of the Medford Unitarian Universalist Church and a longtime resident of West Medford, will read from her new memoir Sea Change: The Unfinished Agenda of the 1960s, and explore the roots of today’s culture in that iconic era. She says: “Because of our shared roots in the Sixties — whether or not we were alive at the time — we have untapped resources to help us respond to the challenges we face today.” Discussion will be encouraged; books will be available for purchase.

Emerson served for 30 years as a parish and community minister in New England, and currently offers talks and workshops on the Sixties; Spirit, Money, and Justice; and Class Awareness and Action.

This program is the concluding event of Arts Across Medford, a month-long festival curated by CACHE.
