Blood Brothers

Thursday, November 29, 2018 @ 8:00 pm

Free

Torn Ticket II, Tufts University’s only student-run musical theater group, presents the musical “Blood  Brothers,” directed by Jessica Pearson with music direction by Josh Kim. Music, lyrics, and book by Willy Russell.

A poor woman in 1960s England is barely hanging on- she has a large family, is pregnant again, and her husband walked out on her. She thought she could manage, until she discovers she’s expecting twins. Her employer, a childless upper-class woman suggests a deal: give one of the twins to her. The show follows the two brothers, Mickey and Eddie, as they grow up in close proximity, but in entirely different worlds. They fall in love with the same girl, and eventually superstitions come true when the two brothers discover the secret of their past and kill each other.

Additional performances will be presented at 8 p.m. on Friday, November 30, and at 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 1.

Tickets are free and may be obtained through University Tickets. There is a $1.50 surcharge for tickets bought online.
