City of Tomorrow Woodwind Quintet

Tufts University presents in concert the City of Tomorrow, an award-winning woodwind quintet with a fearless aesthetic and a commitment to music of our time. The group will present an exciting program featuring a world premiere by Brad Balliett (described as “impressive” by The New Yorker) inspired by birdsong, then delve deeper into the woods with Hans Abrahamsen’s “Walden.” Also on the program are beautifully contemplative and electrifying works by Pauline Oliveros, Kevin Kay, Tanya Leon and Viet Cuong.
