This event includes a performance from Girl Talk Theatre and a talk back with the actors that includes lunch. The organizers also are sponsoring a toiletries drive and encourage every attendee to contribute travel-sized unused toiletry items (toothpaste, shampoos, soaps, face washes, moisturizers, chapsticks, nail polish, makeup samples). Please drop off toiletries to the Balch Arena Theatre box office or Tufts Community Health main office, 574 Boston Avenue, Room 208, on or before Friday, February 22.

The mission of Girl Talk Theatre is to use the art of theatre as a tool for empowering homeless, poor and marginalized women. Girl Talk offers a safe and nurturing environment for the telling of their stories by teaching theatre classes out of which performance opportunities are created for these women. Girl Talk seeks to honor their experiences, giving them tangible evidence that they are important for what they were, what they are now, and what they can be in the future.
