Two of Tufts University’s most beloved performance groups are teaming up again for your comedic pleasure. Enjoy improv from Tufts Cheap Sox and all-new original skits from HYPE! Mimez.

Cheap Sox is Tufts University’s pinkest, oldest, and (self-named) most attractive improv group on campus set out on a mission – to serve the people with laughs. It describes its main strategies to accomplish this task as short form, long form, and mixed form improvisational comedy, and its not main strategies as spontaneous freestyling, misspellings, and hat-wearing.

Founded in 1998 and based at Tufts, award-winning HYPE! is the New England’s only collegiate mime troupe. Members write, direct and perform original mime skits set to contemporary music. HYPE! presents two end-of-semester shows each year, and also performs at smaller events on and off campus. HYPE! combines cool mime techniques and theatrical staging to (silently) tell stories of all kinds. The genre of skits ranges from comedy to scary to heartwarming to bizarre to sad, and everything else in between.
