Washvault Lab is hosting a reception with the contributors to the “Made in Medford” 2020 recipe calendar, which was created by residents of Medford Housing as “a testimony to the rich diversity of cultures and cooking talents in our vibrant city.” Stop by and meet the authors and learn some of the tips and tricks for creating their favorite dishes, which include American, Haitian, Greek and Indian recipes. Calendars also will be available for purchase ($9), with all proceeds going directly to Medford Housing residents. There also will be information about how to be involved with a similar 2021 calendar that is being planned.

While at the reception, be sure to take a look at the work of Medford artist Sarah Gerould, whose paintings are on display through February in Washvault’s first art exhibition, “So Human a Vegetable.”

Washvault Lab is a re-imagined laundromat that is re-envisioning the laundry experience along social and environmental touchpoints. Washvault aims to positively impact the local community, the environment, and its customers through meaningful outreach opportunities and sustainability efforts, including events that bring together Tufts University students and local artists.
