Medford’s growing arts and cultural scene will be a topic of conversation at this Medford Community Coalition Community Meeting. Guest speakers will be Allie Fiske, Business and Cultural Liaison for the City of Medford Mayor’s Office, and Kevin Bailey, the director of the City’s Recreation Department. Medford has seen a large increase in the number of arts and cultural events offered in the city, in part due to professional management of Chevalier Theatre, increased programming at the Condon Music Shell, which will be upgraded this year; and the addition of Riverside Plaza as a venue for music and other events. The city’s recreation department, which was established in 2018, offers an array or programs including dance, painting, and arts and crafts at various venues across the city, including MARV – Medford Arts Center Inc.’s mobile art vehicle.
