Much Ado About Nothing
Thursday, February 14 @ 8:00 pm
The Tufts University Department of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies is presenting six performances of William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Sheriden Thomas.
The trick of opening one’s heart enough to trust another in the name of love lies at the heart of this play. Watch the iconic warring couple of Beatrice and Benedick who are “too wise to woo peaceably.” Witness the fury unleashed by a bastard brother’s deceit. Laugh at the absurd investigation of skullduggery. The journey comes to rest, if not with a happily ever after, at least with a fresh and perhaps wiser beginning. Join in for a romp through a tale of the trials of love, the power of deceit, and the glory of love returned.
Additional performances will be at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, February 15-16; Thursday, February 21; and Friday and Saturday, February 22-23.
Tickets prices will be announced, and tickets will available for purchase online at tuftsdramadancetickets.com or at the Balch Arena Theater Box Office between 9:30 a.m. and
5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and on weekends three hours prior to curtain.
