Chevailer Theatre welcomes singer and actress Patti LaBelle, a two-time Grammy Award winner who has been called the Godmother of Soul. LaBelle is best known for her array of hits that include “If Only You Knew,” “On My Own,” “New Attitude,” “Stir It Up” and “Lady Marmalade.”

Early in her 50-year career LaBelle made her musical mark with girl-group harmonies (with the Bluebells) and razor-sharp, New Orleans-style funk (with LaBelle). As a solo artist, she was a chart-topping interpreter of soul and gospel ballads and inspirational, uptempo anthems.

She also has an array of television, film and Broadway performance credits and is the author of two best-selling autobiographies (Don’t Block the Blessings: Revelations of a Lifetime and Patti’s Pearls) and three cookbooks.
