Foundation of Friends is presenting a reading and signing with poet Terry Carter celebrating a limited release of his poem “Heart of the City,” an ode to Medford that he wrote and presented at the inauguration of Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn at Chevalier Theatre on January 5. This first-edition print will be in the form of a chapbook (a booklet of just this one poem), and only 75 copies are being made available at this time. Carter, whose grew up in West Medford, will read the poem at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $20 and must be purchased through Eventbrite or through the Facebook event page. A ticket must be purchased in order to secure a copy of the poem. If you are unable to attend the event at Salvatore’s, your purchase will be available for pickup at Cosmopolitan Real Estate in Medford Square.
