The Tufts University Early Music Ensemble presents, “If I could shut the gate against my thoughts,” songs of conflict and fantasticke love from Elizabethan England. Directed by Jane Hershey, the ensemble will perform music of Campion, Dowland, Rosseter and others for voices, harpsichord, viola da gamba, recorder, and other Renaissance instruments with guest lutenist Catherine Liddell.
