Tufts Sunday Concert: Montage Music Society
Sunday, October 15 @ 3:00 pmFree
Montage Music Society returns to Tufts University to present the Massachusetts premieres of two new works written for the group. Bruce Wolosoff’s “The Astronomer’s” Key is based on artwork of Milton Resnick and Ofer Ben-Amots’s. Montage Music is inspired by the artwork of Bebe Krimmer.
Founded in Boston, Montage has established itself as a versatile ensemble primarily dedicated to music inspired by visual art projects that have resulted in a variety of commissions and performances, and an acclaimed recording, “Starry Night.” Montage has been heard at the Library of Congress, Washington, D.C.’s Corcoran Gallery, the Chautauqua Institute, and the International Piatti Festival (Bergamo, Italy).
This concert has been made possible by the Granoff Music Fund. Free; no tickets required.
This event is part of Arts Across Medford, a month-long festival curated by CACHE.
