The July movie and dinner event at the Medford Senior Center features the 2023 film "Nyad," which tells the story of Diana Nyad's quest to swim from Cuba to Florida at age 64. Annette Bening stars as Nyad and Jodie Foster plays her coach. The film is two hours long. A light dinner of calzones, salad, beverage and dessert will follow. The Medford Council on Aging welcomes back the Tufts University student musical group Public Harmony for a free concert. Public Harmony's musicians and singers combine their love of music and performing with community service. Each semester, the group performs at senior centers, nursing homes, children's hospitals, and shelters in the Boston area, connecting communities through music.
