Thursday, March 11, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
FreeThe Royall House & Slave Quarters is co-sponsoring the Confronting Racial Injustice Series of five monthly programs hosted by the Massachusetts Historical Society and Northeastern University Law School’s Criminal Justice Task Force. Join community activists and urban planners as they discuss Boston’s history of redlining and discriminatory housing policies, the complicity of the banks and the real estate industry, and the consequent legacy of segregation and racial wealth disparity. Panelists will also identify some specific actions that can be taken to address the inequities in home ownership.
Admission is free, but registration is required through the Massachusetts Historical Society website: https://www.masshist.org/calendar/series/confronting-racial-injustice
Future programs in this series will address Boston school desegregation, the War on Drugs in Massachusetts, and the Charles Stuart story.
