Brooks Estate Guided Walk and Manor Open House

FreeThe Medford-Brooks Estate Land Trust (M-BELT) invites you to a guided walk at the Shepherd Brooks Estate property. Thewalk will take about 30 to 45 minutes and be followed by a Manor Open House with quick tours of the Shepherd Brooks Manor and some refreshments. (The Manor Open House will continue until 2 p.m. — last tour 1:40 p.m. — if you’d rather just come to that event.
Meet at the green gate/blue sign for the Brooks Estate at 275 Grove Street. Best to park off of Grove Street; please do not park in Oak Grove Cemetery. Do not park at the Brooks Estate unless a handicapped spot is needed.

M-BELT is a nonprofit organization that manages the Brooks Estate, owned by the City of Medford. A former Victorian summer retreat for Peter Chardon Brooks and Shepherd Brooks, the property is graced by two Victorian buildings, the Shepherd Brooks Manor and Carriage House (1880), both slated for adaptive re-use as community assets. The property also offers Brooks Pond and 50 acres of open space for birds, wildlife and nature lovers.
