Every Drop Counts Mosaic Project

Tuesday, September 10 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Arts Collaborative Medford is hosting A Mosaic Project to Combat Forever Chemicals, a four-week program led by Medford artist Susan Altman. Come design and make your own beautiful mosaic water drops, which will join many others as part of a mural outside ACM’s front door. This new public art piece will build awareness and activism to reduce the use of PFAS, or “forever chemicals.”

PFAS chemicals make products water-repellant, grease-resistant, and/or heat tolerant, and they are found in thousands of consumer products. They last a very long time, are found in almost everyone’s body, and can accumulate to dangerously high levels. They are linked to many serious health problems, and PFAS pollution can be much worse in environmental justice communities. In this project you will learn more about forever chemicals, some steps you can take to avoid them, and ways to fight their use in consumer products.

Sessions will be held on four consecutive Tuesday nights, from tonight through October 1.
