Words and Music: Arts Collaborative Medford Copy
Friday, October 4 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
FreeAfter a summer break, the West Medford Community Center resumes its Words and Music program. In the Words portion in the first hour, host Terry E. Carter will have a conversation with Regina Parkinson, executive director of the Arts Collaborative Medford community arts center, which opened early this year on Mystic Avenue. In the second hour’s Music segment, Lydia Harrell, aka “The Lovely Singer,” will take the mic, accompanied by bassist and acoustic guitar player Shyndigg. Harrell is a singer/songwriter, teacher, actress, music producer, and Assistant Professor of Voice at Berklee College of Music. The program also will be carried live by Medford Community Media on the city’s cable access stations and live-streamed on the WMCC Facebook page.
The West Medford Community Center launched Words and Music in July 2017. Usually presented on the first Friday of every month, the event starts off with a discussion on a valuable aspect of the community, followed by a performance by a local musician or musicians.
