Exhibition Opening: Phillip Olander Paintings
The October art exhibition at the Charlotte & William Bloomberg Medford Public Library will feature New England paintings by Phillip Olander. The artists says, "My paintings are about the spirit of place, the genius loci. A successful painting should enable the viewer to conjure the felt experience of a particular time and place. Today is the final day of the 2024 tour season for the Royall House & Slave Quarters. The museum offers guided tours at 1, 2 and 3 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday. Admission for guided tours of the mansion is $15 for adults, and $10 for seniors and students. Admission is always free for Royall House & Slave Quarters members, and free for children age 12 and under, EBT or WIC cardholders, Blue Star Families, and Massachusetts Teachers Association members…

EventThem Studios invites you to a closing reception with Maureen McCabe, whose paintings are on display there this month. McCabe's paintings, which span almost two decades, explore light, space and energy to address the mysteries of the universe. Her work has been displayed in many private and public collections, such as Boston's Children's Hospital and Charles River Community Health in Brighton. She received her BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art in 1989.

Exhibition Opening: Peter Rosenberg with Julian Chagrin, Untitled
For the November art exhibition at the Charlotte & William Bloomberg Medford Public Library, Peter L. Rosenberg is collaborating with Julian Chagrin on a show that is a study of human emotions during stressful times. Through evolving cultures, relationships, cameras, and a wide range of photographic interests, has been practicing photography since the summer of the U.S. Bicentennial in 1976.
