"Chewing Tzu—The Rumination Book" (1993) by Angela Lorenz is an edible performance piece consisting of ancient Taoist philosophy by Chuang Tzu, Lao Tzu, and others printed on four kinds of gum. At this event, the public is invited to read the text aloud and ruminate over the conceptual pairings of phrase and flavor. Angela Lorenz is one of the artists in the "Bookworks" exhibition at the Aidekman Arts Center through December 15.

Jerome Street Studios invites you to a reception with the artists whose work is featured in Fresh Prints, an exhibition curated by Susan Murie from submissions by participants in her cyanotype workshops at Jerome Street Studios. Medford Arts Center, Inc. (MACI) is pleased to announce a new collaboration with the Lighthouse Cafe in Medford Square. Artwork by Peg Kane, Nancy Leslie, Chris Howe, Susan Altman and Sarah Gerould will be on display at the restaurant from Monday, October 21, until Thursday, December 5. "Autumn" is the theme of the show. Restaurant hours are 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
