Exhibition Opening: Sam Morse Paintings
The Medford Public Library's art exhibition for September features landscape paintings by Sam Morse. A 24-year-old robotics technician originally from Fitchburg, Morse has been painting for about 10 years, off and on, and specializes exclusively in acrylic landscapes on canvas. Exhibition Opening: Phillip Olander Paintings
The October art exhibition at the Charlotte & William Bloomberg Medford Public Library will feature New England paintings by Phillip Olander. Today is the final day of the 2024 tour season for the Royall House & Slave Quarters. The museum offers guided tours at 1, 2 and 3 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday. Admission for guided tours of the mansion is $15 for adults, and $10 for seniors and students. EventThem Studios invites you to a closing reception with Maureen McCabe, whose paintings are on display there this month. McCabe's paintings, which span almost two decades, explore light, space and energy to address the mysteries of the universe. Her work has been displayed in many private and public collections, such as Boston's Children's Hospital and Charles River Community Health in Brighton. She received her BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art in 1989.
