Exhibition Closing Event: re:imagining collections
Tufts University Art Galleries concludes the exhibition “re:imagining collections” with a curator tour and a performance by artist and choreographer NIC Kay. In the exhibition, five artists reconsider and readdress Tufts’ collection of relatively understudied antiquities from the Americas and the Mediterranean. The collection includes some 200 objects that date from the fifth century BCE to the seventh century CE, including early Greco-Roman ceramics and stone carvings, and a trove of pre-Columbian vessels, jewelry and textiles. Exhibition Opening: Nima Yadollahpour Birdhouses
The Medford Public Library opens its art exhibition for May, with Nima Yadollahpour displaying his beautifully designed modern birdhouses in the rotating display. McGlynn Elementary School's 2023 Festival of the Arts will be Cultural Appreciation Art Show, an "Epcot of the McGlynn" where MES students will have artwork on display around the school. In recognition of the school's multicultural community, flags will displayed in the main entrance to represent the diverse cultures of families at the McGlynn.

Royall House Tours Opening Day
The Royall House & Slave Quarters reopens today for its 2023 tour season. The museum will offer guided tours at 1, 2 and 3 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday through October 15. No reservations are required. Admission for guided tours of the mansion is $10 for adults; $8 for seniors; $5 for students; $2 for EBT or WIC cardholders; and free for children age 12 and under, Tufts University students, Blue Star Families, and Massachusetts Teachers Association members or retirees.…

The Medford Public Library opens its art exhibition for June, "Beautiful Ubud, Bali," by Salem resident and visual artist Indra Persad Milowe. Her work brings to life many of her childhood memories of growing up in Trinidad and Tobago in the 1950s and 1960s. Exhibition Opening: Nora Sears
The Medford Public Library opens its art exhibition for July-August, with Nora Sears displaying her handmade quilts in a rotating display in the second-floor gallery from through August 31. Her quilts display vibrant colors and patterns and are made from mostly reclaimed and recycled fabrics.
