Film and Discusson: PUSHOUT
The Mystic Valley Branch NAACP is co-sponsoring an online viewing and discussion of the 2019 film “PUSHOUT: The Criminalization of Black Girls in Schools,” a documentary that takes a close look at the educational, judicial and societal disparities facing Black girls. The Medford Recreation Department continues its free summer outdoor movie night series with a showing of "A League of Their Own" at Tufts Park in South Medford. Tufts University invites the community to an outdoor showing of the 1985 film "Back to the Future" on the green space adjacent to Carmichael Hall (200 Packard Avenue). Free popcorn and refreshments will be served. Attendees may bring folding chairs, blankets, and snacks. The movie running time is 1 hour, 56 minutes. Rain date is Friday, July 23.

Outdoor Movie: UP
Redemption Hill Church is presenting a Summer Movie Night on the lawn at Barry Park, featuring the 2009 Disney Pixar film "UP." There will be family games offered at 7:30, with the film starting at 8:30 (running time 96 minutes). Redemption Hill will also be supporting the local foster care community through donations to The Foster Box, which provides free resources to foster families in the Boston area.
