Film and Discussion: Black Memorabilia
The Medford Film Collaborative and Mystic Valley Branch NAACP present a screening of the film "Black Memorabilia." The film explores the world of racist material, both antique and newly produced, that propagates demeaning representations of African Americans and promotes white supremacy. From industrial China to the rural South to Brooklyn, the film shines a light on those who reproduce, consume and reclaim these racially-charged items, from “Jolly Nigger” banks to Mammy kitchenware, confederate flags, Nazi insignia and other ephemera. Community Cinema: South Pacific
Community Baptist Church invites you to a screening of the film "South Pacific." On a South Pacific island during World War II, love blooms between a young nurse and a secretive Frenchman who's being courted for a dangerous military mission. Starring Rossano Brazzi, Mitzi Gaynor and John Kerr. Conversation and Chinese food to follow the film. The film is part of the Community Cinema series that Community Baptist Church launched in December 2018 with the aim of showing films about caring and goodness.

Film and Discussion: The Testament
Temple Shalom invites the community to attend its Cantor’s Adult Education Class, which will feature a screening and discussion of the film "The Testament." The film is a mystery, a history, and a Greek tragedy all rolled into one. Released in 2018, "The Testament" is 88 minutes long and is in Hebrew, English and German (with subtitles).
