The Media Production program at Medford Vocational Technical High School and the Medford Film Collaborative present the second annual Medford Student Film Festival. Films by elementary school, middle school, high school and college students will be features, all no longer than 10 minutes. Entry deadline is June 1 through this online form. Tufts Outdoor Movie: The Incredibles

Tufts University is hosting another Outdoor Movie Night on the President's Lawn, this time featuring "The Incredibles," a 2004 Disney computer-animated superhero film written and directed by Brad Bird and produced by Pixar Animation Studios. In the film, a family of undercover superheroes, trying to live the quiet suburban life, are forced into action to save the world. Admission and popcorn are free. The South Asian Workers Center, the Rose Foundation, GAIA Connections, LLC, and the First Baptist Church of Medford present the program "Speaking Boldly: Domestic Violence in International Perspective. The event will include the screening of "De-Feet Domestic Violence." This 45-minute documentary follows two young Kenyan men as they walk across Kenya to raise money for the domestic violence education organization the Rose Foundation. Redemption Hill Church and the Medford Boys & Girls Club invite you to a free outdoor showing of the movie "Sing." The film is about a group of anthropomorphic animals that enter a singing competition, hosted by a koala bear who is trying to save his theater. Bring a chair or blanket. All proceeds at the concession stand will support the Medford Boys and Girls Club. The movie will be preceeded by a free barbecue from 6 to 7 p.m.

Outdoor French Film: Les Saveurs du Palais

Tufts University invites you to watch a French film with English subtitles on a large screen on the Residential Quad! Tonight's feature is "Les Saveurs du Palais" ("The Flavors of the Palace"), a  2012 comedy-drama (American title "Haute Cousine") based on the true story of Danièle Mazet-Delpeuch and how she was appointed as the private chef for president François Mitterrand. Free and open to all. Bring a blanket or chair to sit on.
