Film Screening: Beatrix Potter and Peter Rabbit

Join Medford actress Laura Duggan in Bonsignore Hall at the Medford Public Library for the story of England’s famous author of "Peter Rabbit" and many other cherished children’s tales. Created at Medford Community Media, this production features many scenes filmed around Medford, such as the Brooks Estate, Grace Episcopal Church, and Laura’s backyard garden. Library Movie: Night at the Museum

The Medford Public Library continues its movie series with a screening of "Night at the Museum" (2006) in Bonsignore Hall. In the film, a newly recruited night security guard at the Museum of Natural History discovers that an ancient curse causes the animals and exhibits on display to come to life and wreak havoc. Tufts University invites the community to a Reunion Weekend outdoor showing of the Disney film "Encanto." A computer-animated musical fantasy comedy, "Encanto" won a 2022 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film. Due to the inclement weather in the forecast, the movie (1 hour, 42 minutes long) will be shown in Cohen Auditorium, rather than outdoors on Fletcher Field.

The Medford Public Library's summer Friday movie series presents a screening of  Steven Spielberg's 1975 blockbuster "Jaws"  in Bonsignore Hall.  The film stars Roy Scheider as police chief Martin Brody, who, with the help of a marine biologist (Richard Dreyfuss) and a professional shark hunter (Robert Shaw), hunts a man-eating great white shark that attacks beachgoers at a summer resort town. Station Landing presents its annual outdoor movie night, this time featuring the 2017 fantasy adventure comedy "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle." The Station Landing promenade will be transformed to an outdoor theater with picnic tables and limited beanbag chairs. Grab a bite from one of the many onsite restaurants to make it dinner and a movie. Pre-movie activities will begin at 6:30 p.m., with the film (1 hour, 59 minutes) starting at dusk.
