It's the last Friday of the month, which means Karaoke Night at Medford Brewing Company. Sing your heart out or sit back, sip a beer, and cheer/heckle your friends as they rock out. The Ford Tavern concludes its February live music schedule with a performance by New Hampshire country artist Chase Clark. A Berklee College of Music graduate, Clark gravitated to country music after being inspired by artists such as Eric Church, George Strait, Keith Urban and Brad Paisley. Boston-based guitar and mandolin player Ethan Robbins, leader of the Americana band Cold Chocolate, performs solo tonight at Mrs. Murphy's Pub, the new restaurant on Salem Street in Medford Square. He'll return to the pub to play again at noon on Sunday, March 2.  

The Great American Beer Hall invites early jazz fans from everywhere to its first Mardi Gras Bash, an afternoon of New Orleans-flavored songs performed by two fabulous New England bands. Local favorites Annie and the Fur Trappers will team up with New Hampshire-based Soggy Po’ Boys for this hopping BASH, just days before Fat Tuesday. Food and drink will be available for purchase. Singer/songwriter Matt Nathanson makes his first Chevalier Theatre appearance with a stop on his King of (un)Simple Tour, performing songs from the album of that name, just out this month. A native of Lexington, Massachusetts, Nathanson sings a blend of folk and rock 'n' roll music and plays acoustic and electric guitar. Boston's The Jacklights, known for their melodic punk with a '90s vibe, headline tonight's live music at Deep Cuts. Mrs. Murphy's Pub, the new restaurant on Salem Street in Medford Square, welcomes singer Katie O'Brien, who performs often at Mrs. Murphy's sister restaurant, The Ford Tavern. O'Brien is the head voice instructor at LB Music School in Medford and lead vocalist for the KTO Band.
