Andrew Gravel is a musician, singer, guitarist and songwriter best known as the founding member of the Boston-based rock band The Gravel Project. Carrying on the tradition of blues and '70s psychedelic rock music, Gravel returns to The Porch to perform both original music and classics by artists including The Allman Brothers, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, B.B. One of the most intensely passionate vocalists in New England, Haydee Irizarry -- who performs solo as Zahra Lux -- returns to The Porch, along with Chris Gardino's bluesy acoustic guitar. A classically trained multi-instrumentalist and composer with an intensely rich contralto, Irizarry fronts the metal group Carnivora and is known as the Metal Selena. The Iron Roses headline tonight's live music at Deep Cuts, supported by Lowest of the Low and One Fall. Doors open at 7 p.m. with music at 8. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 day of show through Dice.  

The Abbott Street String Band returns to The Porch with a little bit of bluegrass, and a little bit of Dixieland. This group of local old-time players formed at an Abbott Street residence during the pandemic. They feature acoustic instruments such as banjos, fiddles and guitars, and groove on the melodies of traditional fiddle tunes, dances and reels.
