Kal Marks + 2 Bands at Deep Cuts
Kal Marks, led by vocalist-guitarist Carl Shane, comes to Deep Cuts for a release show. Other band members are bassist-vocalist John Russell, drummer Adam Berkowitz, and guitarist-vocalist Christina Puerto. Their latest record, "Wasteland Baby," came out in September. Also performing will be Paper Lady and Black Beach. Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 show day through Dice.

Tonight's program of Tufts University students competing for the Elizabeth Verveer Tishler Prize in Music Performance has been canceled. The Tishler Prize, established in 1984 by Elizabeth Verveer Tishler, is awarded on the basis of a competition, open to all undergraduates except those enrolled in the Tufts-New England Conservatory dual degree program.
