Pub Night at Medford Brewing Company
The Flying Vipers, a dub reggae band out of Waltham, provide the live music portion of this edition of Pub Night at Medford Brewing Company. The group was formed in 2015 by twin brothers John and Marc Beaudette and Zack Brines, originally as a side project of Destroy Babylon. In between the live sets, DJ Panda will play ska, punk, soul, reggae, new wave and BritPop music. For ages 21 and over.

FACS, a Chicago band that uses minimalism and space to create abstract, modern art rock, headlines tonight at Deep Cuts. Members are Brian Case (guitar, vocals, keyboards), Noah Leger (drums, percussino) and Jonathan van Herik (bass, acoustic guitar, Bass VI). Also performing: Landowner and Major Stars. The Medford Council on Aging welcomes back the Tufts University student musical group Public Harmony for a free concert. Public Harmony's musicians and singers combine their love of music and performing with community service. Each semester, the group performs at senior centers, nursing homes, children's hospitals, and shelters in the Boston area, connecting communities through music. Coffee and desserts also will be provided. Reserve your seat by calling the Senior Center at 781-396-6010 or stopping by the office.

Kiniwe, the African Music and Dance Ensemble of the Tufts Music Department, and guests will perform music and dance from the Ashanti, Ewe and Ga people of Ghana. Kiniwe will be joined by Emmanuel Agbeli, Mohammed Alidu, the New England Conservatory's Mile Norvisi, and the Agbekor Drum and Dance Society. Cheap City, a punk/ska/alternative band from Holyoke, makes their last Boston appearance tonight, headlining at Deep Cuts. The band is playing six final shows before member Greg "Clover" Nahabedian departs from the area. Nahabedian (keyboard, guitar, vocals, synthesizer, drum machine) is joined in Cheap City by Brendan Blendell (bass, banjo, mandolin, vocals), Cody Gagen (drums, vocals) and Paul Schmelz (guitar, vocals). Arts Collaborative Medford is hosting its third Jam Down By Riverside, a direct descendent of the now defunct blues jam at the Porch Southern Fare & Juke Joint, which was a descendant of the Johnny D’s blues jam. Presented by the Medford nonprofit Down By Riverside, Inc., the Jam is for building community and building skills.
