Kiniwe, the African Music and Dance Ensemble of the Tufts Music Department, and guests perform music and dance from the Ashanti, Dagomba and Ga people of Ghana. Guests will include Mohammed Alidu, Worcester Polytechnic Institute's African Drumming Ensemble, the New England Conservatory's Mile Norvisi, and the Agbekor Drum and Dance Society. Free to the public with no tickets required; also viewable via Tufts Music Live Streaming.

Tufts Beelzebubs: Bubs in the Pub

The Beelzebubs, Tufts University’s oldest male a cappella group, present their final show of the school year, "Bubs in the Pub," featuring special guests Peking and the Mystics, an ensemble of Tufts grads that formed in 1973 and includes baritone Tim Vaill, a founding member of the Beelzebubs. Free admission and open to all; no tickets required.

Arts Collaborative Medford is hosting its first workshop, a certification course on repairing historic Bostonian brownstones. The workshop leader, Bob Tomolillo, has decades of experience as a brownstone repair specialist and a printmaker. 4GoodVibes Spring Carnival Virtual Makers Market

4GoodVibes is presenting a nine-day Spring Carnival Virtual Makers Market. The event, running from April 20 through 28, will feature more than 75  vendors featuring handmade items, plus live shopping, raffles, games, and more, all via the Virtual Makers Markets Facebook group. Vendors can ship to you or some offer local pick up at the 4GoodVibes shop on Main Street in South Medford. Vendor fee is $20. If interested, fill out the 4GoodVibes application form.

Sensory Storytime

The Medford Public Library presents Sensory Storytime for ages 3 to 7. Explore stories, music, movement, and play in a sensory-friendly and adaptive setting. This storytime is for everyone, but is particularly designed for neurodiverse children — children who are on the autism spectrum, have sensory processing challenges, ADHD, or have difficulty sitting through our other storytimes. Registration is required through the library's online calendar.

Matt & Shannon Heaton Virtual Guided Session

Medford musicians Matt and Shannon Heaton host their monthly third Saturday Virtual Guided Session. Tune learners, second instrument players, or anyone who enjoys traditional Irish music are welcome for moderately paced Irish tunes — jigs, reels and more — upbeat chat, and connection with other trad music lovers.
