The Medford Public Library's Tuesday Night Book Group meets to discuss "The Art Thief: A True Story of Love, Crime, and a Dangerous Obsession" by Michael Finkel. Books will be available approximately four weeks in advance. Registration is not required but is recommended using the library's online calendar. The group meets monthly on the second Tuesday. The title for next month's meeting, on January 14, will be "Remarkably Bright Creatures," a novel by Shelby Van Pelt.

The Great American Beer Hall continues its Tuesday holiday movie nights with a showing a "Elf," the 2003 comedy starring Will Farrell as Buddy, a human raised by Santa's elves who learns about his origins and heads to New York City to meet his biological father. The GABH series will conclude with a showing of "Home Alone" on December 17.
