Find out more »Artist Reception: Mary Oliveira – On Spot Pond
The Medford Public Library presents an opening reception with Medford artist Mary Sullivan Oliveira, whose exhibition "On Spot Pond" is on view at the library throughout December. Displayed are original watercolors Oliveira painted from a kayak on Spot Pond in Stoneham. Each painting represents a memory of time spent on the water. Oliveira's work may be viewed in library's second-floor gallery all month during regular library hours.

Poetry and jazz, Medford style, are featured in this month's Words and Music program at the West Medford Community Center. In the first hour, host Terry E. Pen, Paint, and Pretzels, the umbrella organization for student-run performing arts groups at Tufts University, presents the first of three performances of William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night’s Dream," its fall workshop production.
