Country band Heartland Radio provides tonight's live music at Great American Beer Hall. The band plays "The Best Country Music Across the Airwaves," Their live shows are a mix of fun, boot-scootin' dance songs, and the best heartstring-tugging slow songs. The band was born in 2009 as the acoustic country duo of Dallas Corbin and Dustin Snyder. The lineup expanded in 2015 with the addition of Miranda Lambert.

The Medford Recreation Department invites you to enjoy some festive gingerbread house decorating, great music, and lots of fun! The cost of the workshop -- $22 for Medford residents, $25 for non-residents -- includes a gingerbread house kit with everything you'll need -- cookies, figures, candy and icing. All the houses created today will be showcased at the city's Winter Extravaganza event on Wednesday, December 4, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at City Hall. Trove Green Provisions is offering a wreath decorating workshop at its Medford Hillside shop. Turn a plain 18-inch evergreen wreath into a natural winter wonder. Exhibition Opening: Mary Oliveira – On Spot Pond

This month's art exhibition at the Medford Public Library is "Mary Oliveira: On Spot Pond," featuring original watercolors the artist painted from a kayak on Spot Pond in Stoneham. Each painting represents a memory of time spent on the pond. Oliveira's work will be on display in the library's second-floor gallery throughout December during regular library hours. An opening reception with the artist will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, December 6.

The Medford Council on Aging presents its weekly Country Line Dancing class for seniors, beginners and beyond, led by Julie Kaufmann. Country line dancing is a fantastic activity for older adults. If offers a fun way to stay active, improve coordination, and socialize. It's also easy to learn — many line dances are designed to be simple and repetitive, making it accessible for beginners. No partner is needed for the class. Cost is $3.
