The Medford Council on Aging presents its weekly art class for seniors led by Tom Wojciechowski, a visual artist who works in a variety of media including installation, painting, photography and books. Build skills and techniques each week and try out various processes that help you experiment and find joy in art and image making. The Medford Public Library presents the second of three workshops for teens in middle school on how to transcribe songs by ear. Learn how to use your ear, your voice, and your instrument (guitar, piano, bass, etc.) and transcription software to transcribe your favorite songs. Register using the library's online calendar. The Medford Public Library's LGBTQ+ Book Group meets to discuss "You Exist Too Much" by Zaina Arafat. Books will be available approximately four weeks in advance. Arts Collaborative Medford presents the second of its new monthly Poetry and Song Open Mic Nights hosted by Medford Poet Laureate Vijaya Sundaram. Poets, dreamers, and songwriters are invited to bring an original poem, story, or song to read or sing. ACM will provide a microphone and lectern. Sign up on the ACM website.
