Family Maker Night
The Medford Public Library invites kids ages 8 to 12, accompanied by an adult, to come to the Maker Space and test out something new or work on a project of your own. A staff member will be on hand to help but it is YOUR design time. Come for the whole time or just stay for a little. Registration is required through the library's online calendar. The Matt Borrello provides tonight's live music at Great American Beer Hall. A Dighton native, Borrello is a traveling singer and guitar player with a repertoire of traditional folk, classic rock, and contemporary original songs. He performs his own songs and also offers energetic interpretations of classic folk, rock, and blues from the '50s, '60s and '70s. His newest collection of songs, "Lonesome Valley," was released in 2022.

The event, running from November 8 to 17, will feature more than 75 vendors offering handmade items, plus live shopping, raffles, games, and more, all via the Virtual Makers Markets Facebook group. The Medford Public Library hosts its second Friday "Coffee and Books" session with director Barbara Kerr. Join Barbara in Bonsignore Hall for coffee and a discussion of the hot new books and interesting titles the library recently acquired. No assigned reading or registration is required. Coffee provided by Chapters Coffee Carts, the nonprofit coffee and snack cart that operates in the library's second-floor gallery. Its mission is to set up supported worksites for people with disabilities.
