Small Weaving Workshop
Arts Collaborative Medford is hosting a Small Weaving Workshop led by Medford artist Christine Willis. In this beginners workshop you will create a small woven wall hanging using yarn and roving. You will learn how to warp your loom, basic weaving stitches, and how to tie off your piece and add it to a dowel or piece of wood to hang. The City of Medford begins a series of Haitian Heritage Month events with a screening of the film "1804: The History of Haiti" in Bonsignore Hall at the library. The 2017 documentary tells the story of how Haiti won its independence, carrying out the first-ever successful slave rebellion. The Medford Council on Aging presents its weekly Ballroom and Latin Dancing Class at the Medford Senior Center. In this fun and high-energy class, you will have a great workout, meet new friends, and learn some of the most popular Latin American dances such as Salsa, Merengue, Rumba, Cha-cha, etc. No partner and no experience necessary.
