Little Painters
The Medford Recreation Department is offering a five-class Saturday morning painting program, Little Painters, for children ages 2 to 5. Each week, kids can get creative with different painting projects including ceramics, suncatchers, birdhouses, and more. The program runs from 9 to 9:45 a.m. to noon on Saturdays from April 27 through June 1 (no session on May 25, Memorial Day weekend). The Medford Public Library is offering the training you need to "check out" the library's Maker Space just like a study room. With this session on 3D printing, you can earn a "badge" and gain more exclusive access to the Maker Space and its contents. The Medford Recreation Department presents a nine-week Music Together class for children ages 1 month to 5 years. Taught by Mystic Valley Music Together, the classes are playful, rich and engaging and help children discover their inner music-maker by playing with the grownups they love. Classes will be held from 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Saturdays from April 27 through June 22. Cost is $220 for residents, $240 for non-residents. Register through the Medford Recreation website.

The Medford Chess Club invites you to its weekly meet-up in Medford Square, taking place in the second-floor gallery at the library.
