The Medford Public Library hosts its monthly Play Dough Club for ages 2 to 5. Why play dough? Playing with play dough helps young kids develop their hand-eye coordination, creativity, and fine-motor and literacy skills. Build skills and techniques each week and try out various processes that help you experiment and find joy in art and image making. Are you an older adult looking to improve your English skills? Join the Medford Council on Aging for Conversational English with Janice Cole, a friendly and relaxed environment where you can practice speaking English, engage in lively discussions, and build your confidence. The Medford Council on Aging presents its weekly Country Line Dancing class for seniors, beginners and beyond, led by Julie Kaufmann. Country line dancing is a fantastic activity for older adults. If offers a fun way to stay active, improve coordination, and socialize. It's also easy to learn — many line dances are designed to be simple and repetitive, making it accessible for beginners. No partner is needed for the class. Cost is $3.

Find out more »Advanced Crochet Club for Teens
The Medford Public Library introduces an Advanced Crochet Club for teens in middle school and high school. This club is open to teens who already know the basics of crocheting: slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, etc. If you don't recognize or know how to do those stitches, try the library's Beginners Teen Crochet Club that meets on the second Thursday of the month. Registration is required for this meeting through the library's new online calendar.
