Fat Randy + 3 Bands at Deep Cuts
Fat Randy, which bills itself as Boston's worst noise rock band and Connecticut's best Hoobastank tribute band, returns to Deep Cuts as tonight's headliner. Also performing: K.O. The Medford Council on Aging presents its weekly art class for seniors led by Tom Wojciechowski, a visual artist who works in a variety of media including installation, painting, photography and books. Build skills and techniques each week and try out various processes that help you experiment and find joy in art and image making. The Medford Public Library invites kids ages 8 to 12, accompanied by an adult, to come to the Maker Space and test out something new or work on a project of your own. The Medford Recreation Department is offering a six-week "Adventures in Animation" course for kids in grades 5 to 8. Children will utilize a variety of materials to build props, characters, and fantastical mini-movie sets to feature in original stop-motion animation films. ArtsMedford presents a reception with the 23 member artists whose work is featured all this month in the exhibition "Pollen! (Returns)" at the library. The juried show explores the themes of growth, renewal, and the vibrancy of the spring season. The exhibition will be on display in the library's second-floor gallery through April 28 during regular hours.
