A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Saturday, August 4, 2018 @ 4:00 pm
FreeDream Role Theater Company is turning Hastings Park in West Medford into the woods outside Athens for six free performances of William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
Dream Role Theater Company is exactly that: a theater company with the goal of letting actors play their dream roles. In June the company presented free outdoor performances of Shakespeare’s Othello in Cambridge.
At Hastings Park, the company will present “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” on three consecutive weekend afternoons – August 4-5, August 11-12, and August 18-19. All performances begin at 4 p.m. and last about 90 minutes. Lisa Burdick and Alan White are the producers, Bridget Frey is the director, and Phie Jacobs is the stage manager.
Admission is free. Bring a blanket or lawn chair.
Hastings Park, sometimes referred to as Tower Park due to its prominent stone tower (c. 1900), is bordered by Vernon, Allston, Laurel and Mystic Streets in West Medford, north of High Street and south of Woburn Street.
