Chevalier Theatre presents An Evening with Dan Carlin, a rare in-person appearance by the popular author, historian and podcaster. Carlin began podcasting in 2005 before many saw the value and impact of the emerging medium. To date, his award-winning podcast “Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History” has been downloaded more than 100 million times. He also was the host of the popular political commentary podcast “Common Sense,” and wrote the 2019 New York Times bestseller “The End is Always Near: Apocalyptic Moments from the Bronze Age Collapse to Nuclear Near Misses.” The event will be moderated by Aaron Mahnke, host of “Lore,” a podcast on topics such as folklore, legends, and historical events, Tickets are $40 to $100 through the Chevalier Theatre website/Ticketmaster. Tickets also may be purchased, free of online ordering fees, at the Chevalier Theatre Box Office, which is open on Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 6 p.m., as well as two hours before every Chevalier Theatre show.
