Arts After Dark: Tufts Artists
Wednesday, December 8, 2021 @ 7:00 pm
FreeMARV presents its final Arts After Dark event of the year with an online discussion with Tufts University artists Siddhant Talwar, Felipe Lopez and Pamela Melgar.
Talwar is a junior in the dual-degree program within the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts, pursuing a BFA in studio art and a BA in new media and society. His work deals with issues around identity, sense of self, and relationships with others. Lopez, a Latin American artist studying abroad, is interested in talking about the power structures resulting from colonialism throughout the history of our countries, their similarities, and meanings. His current work at the SMFA explores drawing and reproductions (digital print and photolithography) to address this. Melgar is an interdisciplinary artist and computer science student. Though she comes from a painting background, she strives to merge her interests in art, tech, and community-engagement through storytelling and interactive projects.
This event is organized by MARV (the Medford Arts Resource Vehicle), a program of ArtsMedford, Inc., in partnership with Tufts University Art Galleries.
