The Medford Public Library is offering a five-week course for students in grades 5 to 8 interested in learning American Sign Language. Led by an ASL instructor from Signing Basics, LLC, in five 30-minute virtual lessons, students will learn the Manual Alphabet, shapes, numbers, names, colors, clothing, greetings, facts about Deaf culture, and more. 

Sign-up is required and students are expected to attend all five Zoom sessions, which will take place from 4:30 to 5 p.m. on Fridays from March 4 through April 1.
