The Medford Public Library welcomes Bill Cummings for a visit and reading from his book “Starting Small and Making it Big: An Entreprenuer’s Journey to Billion-Dollar Philanthropist.”

Born in Somerville and raised in Medford, Cummings never aspired to be a billionaire, and never acknowledged he was one until long after it happened. His success has been matched by his generosity in giving back to the communities and institutions so vital to his success. In Massachusetts alone, the cash donations from Cummings entities to local charities already total more than $200 million.

Copies of “Starting Small and Making It Big” will be on sale at the event. All book profits go to charity.
