Bilingual Story Time: Song of the Chirimia

FreeThe Medford Public Library presents a bilingual story time for ages 5 and up with a reading of “The Song of the Chirimia,” a beautiful Guatemalan folktale that tells the story of the “chirimia,” whose music is sweeter than even that of birds. The protagonists are a Mayan princess and a young man whose love for her sends him on a quest for the purest song in the woods. All Spanish levels are welcome to join in. Registration is required through the library’s online calendar.
