The Medford Public Library presents a bilingual story time for ages 5 and up with a reading of “The Real Cinco de Mayo Story”/”La Verdadera Historia del Cinco de Mayo.” Learn the true history behind Cinco de Mayo, an often-misunderstood holiday. Is this the date when Mexico celebrates independence? What does Cinco de Mayo mean to Mexicans and to the U.S.? When did the celebration start? The story will be presented in both English and Spanish.
