Tuesday, March 19, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
FreeThe Medford Public Library invites science enthusiasts from 10 to 100 to its “Breaking Science” series. Learn about the science and technology you hear discussed on the news, from scientists and engineers who work on the newest discoveries. The series is organized by Dr. Jim Sampson, who holds a PhD in Immunology. Dr. Sampson is passionate about the value of knowledge and strives to help people understand how and why they get sick, and share with them the tools they need to understand the problems facing human health in the modern world.
This week’s topic is Renewable Energy. With the threat of catastrophic climate change looming over our heads, it’s all the more important that we minimize our impact on global carbon emission. Come learn about developments in renewable energy technology that will reduce our carbon footprint. If you’re a climate change skeptic, come anyway and learn about cool new technology that may be able to help reduce your heating and electric bills.
Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Please register through Eventbrite.
